About Jing

Jaclyn Engelsher graduated with honors from the International Institute of Chinese Medicine where she earned her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine. She is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and has practiced as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine in New Mexico, a Licensed Acupuncturist in Indiana and Texas, and a Certified Acupuncturist in Kentucky. She has served on the board of the Kentucky State Acupuncture Association and has been a guest lecturer in Dallas, Texas and Louisville, Kentucky. Jaclyn is the author of Acupuncture News, an award-winning web log that provides news and commentary on the Oriental Medicine world.

Jaclyn holds a Bachelors and Masters of Science in Nursing from Bellarmine University, is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society, the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, and the American Holistic Nurse Association. She is ANCC board certified as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse and Family Nurse Practitioner. In addition to Jing, Jaclyn is a clinical instructor for Bellarmine’s nursing program and is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at the University of Tennessee.

Jaclyn’s healing philosophy is founded on the principal of incorporating the best health care modalities for the optimal physical, psychological, and spiritual health of the individual. Using Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques, including acupuncture, herbal therapy, Tui Na (acupressure massage) and nutrition, she assesses and develops a holistic treatment plan unique for each client in order to create constitutional change. Jaclyn treats a wide range of conditions and specializes in pain management, women’s health, mental/emotional imbalances, and facial rejuvenation.
